Scott Blakey has begun his work at Durham college and what a time to begin! Managements’ emails regarding Negotiations are sent from his office but don’t let that result in a false first impression!
I was pleased to be asked to be part of the interview panel for the hiring of our new VP HR.
Ken Robb has retired and he will be missed. Ken worked with the LEC, always with a high degree of integrity and fairness.
Scott brings with him a wealth of experience and skills which I believe will be an asset to the Durham College Management team. He invited me to meet with him shortly after he was hired. My impression of Scott from the beginning was that he is a good listener, that he will be fair, and that he believes in problem solving and working together as colleagues at Durham. He appears genuine, intuitive and committed to this new position.
