Partial load drop-in/educational sessions a big success

On November 4, 2013, Oshawa-based partial load faculty were invited to a drop-in session hosted by Durham Local 354. Some questions discussed included step valuations, pay scales, benefits, and seniority/job security.

Equally important, the partial-load subcommittee, made up of Paul Wraight, Ken Lomp, and Dave Smith, listened to the concerns of the partial-load teachers. As a result, some issues will be brought to management including the following: calculation of step placement, step increases and continuing employment inclusive of the possibility of 3-year contracts.

Another drop-in meeting is scheduled for Whitby on Monday, June 18, from 2-4 PM, room #2-13.
