Dave Smith and Bill Chilton walk with picketers
Local 354 Members Walk in Solidarity
On Friday, April 24, two members of Local 354 walked in solidarity with striking Durham Region Secondary teachers. Bill Chilton and Dave Smith walked with strikers at Sinclair Secondary School and Anderson Collegiate High School. Our presence was very much welcomed and appreciated, and other Durham faculty are encouraged to also visit with the picketing teachers. These teachers are assisting all Unionized workers in Ontario in demanding a fair deal for workers and even more importantly, for students.
