Durham College local union leadership recently met with Human Resources personnel to discuss step placements for Partial Load faculty. The process was discussed, but individual professors’ step placements were not viewed due to confidentiality considerations.
As a result, your local union leadership is requesting that some partial load faculty come forward to meet with us. Volunteers would need to bring their resume for calculating.
Most importantly, confidentiality would be guaranteed – we will not approach management with individual information. Our goal is to determine whether the process used by Human Resources is being done fairly.
