Extra 0.25 hour on your SWF

Due to ongoing negotiations at WMG, you should find that your fall SWF has an additional 0.25 hour for “Training” under complimentary hours.  This is a result of your team at WMG asking management to recognize that all work MUST be stated on the SWF.  The issue of “sudden” training i.e. AODA may lead to management requesting work completion.  Our Collective Agreement clearly states ALL work must be on our SWF.  Thus the compromise of 0.25 on all SWFs this fall was to account for any NEW, ongoing training.  

Please be aware that your union leadership presses for ALL work that we do to be stated on the SWF and “voluntary” work should NEVER be expected.  According to our current collective agreement, Article 11.01 A, “Each teacher shall have a workload that adheres to the provisions of this Article (specifically, all of Article 11, Workload).”
