Hello Faculty,
It is that time of year of again (SWF and Timetable potential issues) when your LEC would like to remind you of the Letter of Understanding we have with the college (based on the Collective Agreement) regarding Late SWFs and Late Timetables which have been issued.
Please read the information below and if you believe that you are in one of these circumstances please do not hesitate to approach your supervisor and/or reach out to one of the Union LEC members.
- In keeping with the terms of the Academic Employees Collective Agreement, it is agreed that the supervisor will provide a copy of the SWF (Standard Workload Form) to the teacher not later than six weeks prior to the beginning of the period covered by the timetable excluding holidays and vacation. It is recognized that if the SWF is subsequently revised by the College, it will not be done without prior consultation with the teacher (11.02 A (a). Should the SWF not be provided to the teacher within the specified timeframe, it is further agreed that a penalty of $500 will be paid by the School to the teacher.
- The timetable shall set out the schedule and location of assigned workload hours reported on the SWF, on a Timetable form to be. provided by the College, and a copy shall be given to the teacher no less than two weeks prior to the beginning of the period covered by the timetable (11.02 AS). · Should the timetable not be provided to the teacher within the specified timeframe, it is further agreed that a penalty of $167 will be paid by the School to the teacher.
