IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR PARTIAL LOAD MEMBERS – you only have until Oct. 30th to register your interest in remaining partial load for the next calendar year.
In accordance with article 26.10 (E),if there is a need to hire a partial load employee to teach a course that has been taught previously by that registered partial load employee in the school it will give priority in hiring to faculty who are includedonthe partial load registry, and who have achieved the specified 8 services credits.
Allcurrently or previously employed partial-load employees were asked to register their interest in being employed as a partial-load employee in the 2020 calendar year by October 30th, 2019.
Priority in hiring to partial-load employee is determined if:
(i) They are currently employed, or if they have previously been employed as a partial-load employee for at least eight (8) months of services as defined in 26.10 (C) within the last four (4) academic years, and
(ii) The assignment of such course will not case the employee to exceed the maximum teaching contract hours
for partial-load employees.
All priority partial-load employee(s) per school will be highlighted in yellow.
All registered partial-load employee(s) that donot meet the required 8+ months service credits per school will be highlighted in green. These employeescan be given consideration in hiring once all priority partial-load employees have been exhausted.
Inaddition to maintaining the partial-load registry, all schools will keep a record of the courses that the employee has taugh and department/schools where the partial-load employee has taugh such courses as per article 26.10 (D).
