Does your spring SWF contain new tasks or additional work you have not agreed to? If so, you should immediately sign back your SWF so that it can be examined by the Workload Monitoring Group (WMG), which is comprised of both union and management representatives.
This year, we have seen numerous cases of managers adding new tasks such as creating PLAR assessments and asking faculty to upload their entire courses to a sandbox in DC Connect. The union does not agree that either of these tasks should be added to spring SWFs and Article 11.08 A1 states that workload must include a discussion between faculty and management.
If there is something on your SWF that you don’t agree with, please sign it back to send to WMG and request a meeting with your manager to discuss. If desired, a union represented can join you for that discussion.
In the comments section you may wish to note your concern with wording such as this:
“No discussion was held prior to assigning the workload in this SWF as required by Article 11.02 A1. I am not in agreement with this SWF and wish to send it to WMG.”
